Youth Asset Development Inc. (YADI) is a non-profit corporation formed to advance education, combat juvenile delinquency, and deter community deterioration by providing mentor, education and community service programs for elementary, middle and high school youth.

Through repeated failures in the family structure and classroom youth have developed destructive habits and a sense of hopelessness. YADI was formed in direct response to the growing number of young people who are either disenfranchised and/or disillusioned about the possibilities for themselves and their futures.

YADI’s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will build pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in their future. YADI fosters caring and inclusive learning environments that promote youth’s best self-effort, reinforces personal respect and instills hope for the endless possibilities that await them.

YADI has two core programs I GOT YA BACK! and I CAN READ MY NAME.  The focus is slightly different for each program but the goal remains the same; empower the young person to make positive changes in his/her life. YADI will form partnerships with parents, churches, local school districts, the police department, the juvenile court system and other private and public agencies.

 Mission Statement: To empower youth through mentoring, education, and  community service to be pro-active, innovative, productive and prosperous adults, who will contribute and enrich their communities and nation with economic and social activism.
